Command Box won't open After problems with msado15.dll

I am running Microsoft Access 2002, and one of my users reported an error
message that stated a missing reference to msado15.dll. I went into
Tool/References and unchecked the MISSING reference and reassigned it. I
have even tried upgrading MDAC, and the error message goes away, but now my
command buttons that refer to ADODB will not work.

I have checked to see that the file (msado15.tlb) referenced is on the hard
drive, and it is. I suspect that there is a problem with msado15.dll that is
causing the command box to fail. I was getting an error that a dll was
missing, but once I upgraded MDAC to 2.6, it is gone, but command box will
still not load.

Any ideas?

This is a shot in the dark, but possibly when you re-created the reference
to ADO, the new reference was lower in the list that it had been previously.
This could be a particular problem if you also use DAO, but even if you
don't, it's a possibility.
Try moving the ADO reference up to about the 3rd or 4th position in your
list. If you do have a DAO reference, make sure it comes after the ADO
