command button wizard doesn't start even w/ wand pressed in

The command button wizard does not start up when I am greating a form in
design view and select the command button to tie it to open a specifice form.
I prefer using the wizard since it prompt for what form to open instead of
having to create the event procedure on the On Click.

I tried to see if there was an Add- in but that option is not available. I
am using our Access at work and not sure why the wizard does not get
activated even when the wizard wand is pressed in. any ideas???

Thanks,
Barb

Babs,
In Design view, make sure your Toolbox has the wizard icon, and that icon is
permanently selected before adding your button.
Right click the main menu, select Customize/Commands/Toolbox, and drag the
ControlWizard icon to your Toolbox.

Also, make sure the Wizards were included during your "work" Access installation.

The Wizard button is on the toolbox and pressed in as noted before. If the
"work" installation did not originally install the wizards is there anyway
someone can do it after the fact or do they need to RE-install it. I tried
the Add-in option but it is greyed out.

Any ideas????
Thanks,
Barb

Babs,
You should be able to just install the "Additional Wizards" portion. I've heard
differing opinions on this, but I'd try (not sure what version you have) to do an "Add or
Remove Features" first.
When in doubt, do a complete de-install/reinstall, and make sure you get those
additional wizards. Given the size of modern drives, I always go for all the goodies
anyway... unless I'm really sure I won't need them.
