commas in funny places

hi,

why might i get a csv file like below when i save a spreadsheet wit
just one column of postcodes and nothing else?

with just one column of postcodes

If that's truly all you have then, when you press Ctrl-End, the active cell
will be A31 or something else in column A. If it's out in, say, column E
then the active area is bigger than you think. If that's the case you can
select and deleted the extra columns (Edit, Delete, Entire Column) and save
your workbook to shrink the active area.

I think you'll get it with Jim's suggestion.

But when you get really frustrated <bg>, you can copy that column and paste into
NotePad and save that text file.
