Commonly corrupting Project 2002 files

Hi.

Pretty much every time I save my modified Project 2002
file it corrupts the file. This is not apparent on save
but when you try to load it again. The files are all
created in Project 2002. The following error message
appears on opening a file and the open fails:

"The operation cannot be completed because the source file
contains invalid project data or the total number of rows
would exceed the limit of 1,048,000 rows in a project."

Does anybody know why I can get this to happen so
regularly and is there any way I can recover this file. I
have read Q318438 (as it used to be called) but failed to
find a solution.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Jason.
