Communications Database

Hello!

I need suggestions designing the following database:

Concept:

The company I work for sends out acknowledgement e-mails to our customers
with the status of their business with us.

At times we might be communicating too much.

We need to find a way to keep track of each campaign, how it was delivered
(phone, email, mail), dates, customer info, etc…

There are already tables that store the historical data for each of our
processes, we just need to tie them together.

This is what I need from you:

I need to know how we could develop a database to keep track of this
information, including tables, reports, and any jobs that would need to run
to get the data.

I’m aware that you don't have to explain details.
I am not asking for a step by step answer, but please show me your vision
and how we can keep track of this information.

Thank you in advance!

This is a newsgroup dedicated to solving technical issues to do with
the design of tables and the issues that arise therefrom.

Your post gives a brief sketch of a Problem Statement and then asks
for a design to the level of table detail. Although you deny seeking
details there is a lot of work implicit in your request that precedes
table design: Specification, both Product and Functional before the
table design can really be done with verifiable accuracy.

There are CRM packages out there that cost a bundle and that would
require a lot of work interfacing to your existing processes. There
are low end packages that require that you re-enter all data from
scratch. There are all kinds of offerings; pay your money and take
your pick.

Suggestions: Get a consultant, off the local market or over the line,
to work with you to completely specify the project and to implement
it. That will be the path to the best solution at the least cost.
