Communicator 2007 or 2010 Beta won't install or run.

Bought a new Gateway laptop with the M$ Office 60-day trial. I uninstalled it
and installed Office 2007 Ultimate. I then tried to install a trial version
of Communicator 2007 R2, but it will not run. I then removed it and Office
2007 Ultimate and then installed Office 2010 Professional Plus Beta. However,
Communicator is nowhere to be found.

What gives?
