In Access 2007, I ran COMPACT and REPAIR on a BE database of 8 tables
amounting to 8 megs (post operation the database was 4. 5 megs). When I
opened forms in the FE, some (5 of them) showed fields that were clearly not
hitting the right spots in the BE (“########†in many cases, for instance).
I relinked those tables showing problems and they went away – or so it
seemed. I then looked at the BE tables through the datasheet view and saw
many fields in all of the tables were corrupted though this was not showing
on the FE form. I looked at this on three different computers and it was the
same in all cases. Any thought here on what could cause this problem. I’ve
had the problem with the relinking before but never have seen the second
problem. Thanks.
