Hi,
Sounds as if you have a corrupted table that the Compact/Repair utility
cannot salvage.
Try using JETComp.exe (see:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;273956)
If JETComp does not work then I would recommend that you perform a Google
search for "Access", "Database", and "Recovery" -- may find a database
recovery specialists on the net.

| I was trying to compact my dbase and went on auto pilot and clicked the
compact button again while it was in the middle of compacting the first
time. I can't get the dbase to compact now. It gets to a certain point
and seems to stall at a certain point. I have tried to copy the tables to
a blank dbase and once it gets to the employee table I see a message that
says the record set is not updateable.
