I continue to receive the message "Records cannot be read,
no read permissions on database path/name.

I have checked Tools, Options, View and the System Objects
box is not checked.

Tools, Security, User and Group Permissions has also been
checked out.

Have any other suggestions to try?

Check;
Is the file marked as read only
Do you have security rights to the file
Run Scandisk on the drive
