Compact & Repair Question

Hello:

Our database has 14,092 records and we've been doing a lot of "compact &
repair" every time the file gets confused and/or corrupted. Other than the
compact and repair, is there any other utility available? Here is the latest
message came up after I ran the compact and repair utility. "The document
filename.mdb caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you
like to continue opening it?"

This is what we're using
MS Access 10.0.4302.0
File Format: 2000 MDB
JET/ACE: 4.0.8618.0

Thank you for your help!

Tom

First thing would be to apply Service Pack 3 for Office 2002.
You can get it from:
http://support.microsoft.com/sp

After that, it's a matter of determining what is causing the corruption, and
addressing the cause. It could be a bad network connection (if the data is
coming over a network) or heaps of other factors such as these:

There is no magic bullet, so it is a matter of identifying and dealing with
the cause.
