I am relatively new to Access and have created an
application with a half dozen linked tables, some queries
and forms, primarily using wizards. I have also added
some data to verify my design.
This week I decided to try and compact my application. I
got several "Invalid Object" errors and the database
failed to compact. I then tried Repair. It said the
repair was successful, but Access would no longer open the
database - there was a Jet Engine error. A backup of the
original database continues to function fine.
I thought I might fix the problem by deleting all of the
forms, queries and relationships, running the Compact and
Repair and then recreating them. But the new database
resulted in the same errors.
Is this a serious problem? And is there a way of
identifying where these errors are being generated and how
I can correct them?
Thanks, Lloyd
