My Access 97 multiuser db front end (forms, reports, code)
tends to become a rather large mdb file after a couple of
months. Left unchecked, it will reach the 1 Gig limit.
Is there code to check the size of a file? I'd like to
run a procedure that will kick users off (it will run at
night, so there shouldn't be any users, but it's
possible), and compact the database when it gets too close
to the 1 Gig limit.
And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it is
possible for that code to be in the db that I actually
want to compact. How do I handle that?
