Compare Project Version

Sunshine

Wondered if anyone could help with MSP 2003 Pro? I've opened two files and
using the compare function I'm asking the application to compare baselines of
two files. It's not bringing up the additional file which has the comparison
and I don't know why.

Project Server is not being used. I have access rights to all project plans
- there are no restictions.

Could someone point me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

That sounds odd. I have a white paper on my blog (link below) that shows you
how to restart the COM add-ins. You may want to try that. On my blog,
select MS Project Tips and Tricks. Then go to the very bottom of the page
and look for "My COM Add-ins don't work".

As an aside, the two files you are comparing do have to originate from the
same "ultimate parent" (they should be traceable back to some common starting
file). Also, you should have a table in each file that documents the
parameters you desire for comparison. Sometimes if the "standard" tables in
the two files have been changed there are problems.
