Compatability with other schedule programs

Can schedules created in FastTrack be imported to Project 9? Especially
interested in schedules created in FastTrack 4.

Hi MontereyVic,

Taking a quick look at AEC Software's site, it appears as though they are up
to FastTrack Schedule 9.

FastTrack Schedule 9 does appear to exchange data with MS Project. As far
as older versions (4.0) importing into Project 2000, I guess I would suggest
contacting AEC Software for that definitive answer.

Looks like I need to explain more. We already have FastTrack 4, and are
considering whether we should upgrade to FastTrack 9 (which doesn't read v.4
files), or switch to Project. So I just need to know if, from Project, I can
import files from another format, specifically FastTrack 4.

Hi MontereyVic,

I can't answer to FastTrack 4's export abilities, but Project can read CVS
files, Text files, MPX files, MDB files, as well as Excel files. I guess
part of the answer would be to determine what export capabilities FastTrack
4 has.
