compatibility: Access 2003 mdb file

I will be receiving an .mdb file made in the latest version of MS Access, 2003.
I have Access 2002 on my PC...should I expect issues with my older version not
being able to read the 2003 version file?

It depends. By default Access 2003 uses the Access 2000 file format (as
does Access 2002). If the user stayed with the default you should at least
be able to open the file.

However; even with a 2000 file format the person using A2003 can make use
of a feature that is available in A2003 and not in A2002 in which case it
would obviously not work on your PC.
