Compatibility Issue?

I just installed Office Standard 2003 onto my computer. It has Windoows XP,
and Microsoft Works Word Processor from factory installed on it. Now I cannot
open my Word documents- I get the message that the end user agreement cannot
be displayed and to reinstall the program, which I don't have since it came
from the store installed already... can anyone help me please?

The installation of Office 2003 corrupted the Word from Works common files.
You'll need to uninstall Office and custom reinstall Office to a different
default folder. Since you won't need Works any more when you have Office. Why
not just uninstall Works, uninstall and reinstall Office? Your documents will
not be lost.
PS You did get the Works disks with the computer when you bought it even if
it was preinstalled.
