Compatibility Options Tweaking ?

J

Jimmy

Is there any way to access the list of compatibility options
and tweak them (through a registry hack or similar) ?

FP2k shuts off table "cell background" features when you set it
to use IE & NS, which is not correct for V4 & higher NS. I'd like
to tweak this for easier access without HTML'ing it each time.

Thanks,

Jimmy,

That's what "Custom" is for.

It doesn't allow me to tweak individual values like "allow backgrounds
on table cells" - which is what I'd like to do. As soon as you choose
any version of NS & IE it shuts off cell backgrounds.

Custom only allows gross selections like "CSS1" or "CSS2".

Simply leave it at custom and don't choose any particular browsers.

FYI
IE and NN 4+ support cell backgrounds only
NN4 does not support table backgrounds, IE 4+ does

Interesting approach. Any idea what that does to other options
such as menu choices ? Is everything else (menu options included)
then controlled by the checkboxes below or are there more subtle
effects to the "custom" selection ?

Already noted in my original post... I'm just looking for cell
background access for NN4+.

By selecting custom for browsers and checking all boxes below, you will then
have access to all features/functions, and it will be up to you to know what
will or will not work in different browsers/versions.

OK... that works for me. I was trying to set it as "IE & NS" to get
the broadest appeal, then tweaking the options below to match what I
really would consider useable. I didn't realize that "custom" meant
"anything goes" in the browser areas.
