Compatibility Pack for 2007 as an Update?

I read/heard awhile ago that the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats would be part of the automatic
update process; but as far as I can tell that is not the case, correct?
