Compatibility Patch Problems

When installing the Office 2007 Compatilibity Patch I only seem to have the
option to "Save As..." 2003 documents to Office 2007 file formats.

I have users who often right click a document from within Explorer (or zip
file) and select "Save As..." they then just want to Save As a standard 2003
document, but with a different name, but with this patch installed they only
have the option to Save As... Office 2007 file formats.

Help... is this a bug or by design, and if by design, why would you only
make "Save As..." give 2007 options only and not backwards options (Off'03,
Off'97, WKS) too?

Interestingly enough, if I right-click a 2007 file format (PPTX) here and
choose Save As, I have the option to save as a 97-2003 format. When I
right-click a 2003 file (PPT) here and choose Save As, I only have options
to save as a 2007 format, as you described.

I suspect this is by design. I think you'll probably have to train the users
to make a copy of the file and then rename that as opposed to using the
"Save As" option.

I don't suppose anyone knows of a way to disable this contextual menu from
appearing to avoid them accidentally saving Office2003 as 2007 docs, yet
keeping the Office2007 compatibility so that my users can still open them ok
in the relevant programs?
