I have a PowerPoint presentation which was created with Office 2000 and is
readble with PowerPoint 97 but will not open with Office/PowerPoint 2003 (it
opens with Office/PowerPoint 2002). What could be the explanation and what
do I need to do ?

Go to Help/Check for Updates and install SP-1 for Office 2003. This is a
critical patch for PowerPoint 2003, as it resolves most of these "can't
open" issues.

Hi Xavier,

You may want to use the link below to post your question to the MS Office Powerpoint discussion group directly and include there the
version of Windows you're using, how (the steps) you're opening the .PPT file and the exact error message you receive.

===========
I have the same question can someone knows the way to solve this issue? >>

In PPT 2003, go to Help | Check for Updates. Below the big yellow "Microsoft
Updates" button on the right is a text link to get Office Updates. Click
that and install the latest service pack for Office 2003. (We're on SP2
right now.) That will resolve the issue.
