Compatible audio and video formats?

1.) What audio format files can be embedded in a PPT file?
..mp3? .wav? etc.

2.) What video format files can be embedded in a PPT file?
QuickTime? Windows Media? .mov? etc.

Only WAV format can be embedded other sound files and all video files are
linked to.
