"Compile Error – Can’t find project or library" using Access 2007

We just purchased a new computer which has Microsoft Access 2007. As we are
planning to update all of our computers to Microsoft Office 2007 (they now
have XP and 2003, can you please help us to resolve the problem.

Although the database, which is housed on the file server, works perfectly
from all other computers, whenever I try to open the "Client Information
Form" using Access 2007, I get the following error messages:

1) When I open up Markosoft and click on “Client Information Form†I
receive this message:

“Your Microsoft Office Access Database contains a missing or broken
reference to the file “utility.mdaâ€

When I request details, it reads:

“The application you are attempting to use has a reference that it cannot
resolve to an object, type library, DLL, or external database. Either the
object, type library, DLL, or database was deleted or renamed. Examine the
Available references list in the references dialog box in the visual basic
editor to determine if any action is required. If you did not create this
application, contact the programmer or administrator of the system.

If the reference listed in the available references list is preceded with
“MISSING:†clear the check box to move the reference if it is no longer
required. “

2) In the forms, New dates under the client call report show “#NAME?â€

3) When I try to put a begin date in, I receive the following error:

“Compile Error – Can’t find project or library.â€

Keep in mind....the database works perfectly from all other computers.

Thank you for any help you can give us.

Missing references can cause all manner of hell to break loose with
simple functions failing all over the place. I forget where
utility.mda comes from but this is the like source of your. Either
install the mda on your 2007 machine or unlink it if it's not used. If
you're still getting no joy, try creating a new 2007 database and
importing all the objects to create a new 2007 DB.

(The final step is kind of the catch-all 'this will work' solution to
these weird problems.)

Hope this helps,
James
