compile error in hidden module: autoexec

I sometimes get the following error when quitting Excel:

compile error in hidden module: autoexec

does anyone know what this is or how I stop it from occurring?

At some point I must have inadvertently checked the wrong thing in
Acrobat when I got the discrepency warning and no longer get that when I
open Acrobat. Do you know how to get that warning to come back?
