Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew

It seems to have happened suddenly, but when I open, or close Excel I get a
visual basic pop up message:

Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew

and the options to OK or HELP.

Can anyone tell me what I've changed or need to change to get rid of this
annoying interruption.

Using: Excel 2002 on an XP platform.

have you currently installed an Add-in?. check 'Tools - addins' for
this

It points at PDFMaker.xla as being the culprit.
