I updated an Access application and put it back out on the user's network at
a remote site location. It works fine from my location when I test it on the
network here but when the user tries to run the reports they get "Compile
error in hidden module: Forms_Reports". When the user exits the application
they get a message that the program is not responding.
I can go into the user's network from here and do not get either of the
above errors. The user did not have any problems running this application
previously. Since then, I have added code, hidden the extra forms, tables,
queries, etc., and password protected the code.
Any ideas? Is it possible that the Access install on the user's network is
corrupt and needs a library or something re-installed? What would I look for?
One time I did get an error going into their network saying "it could not
find the file or one of its components, make sure the path and filename are
correct and that all required libraries are available." I said Ok, the
application opened, and I successfully ran the reports.
As a side note, the user is also getting the "program not responding" when
exiting Outlook.
Thanks.
