Compile Error in hidden module

I have had to reinstall windows xp, and subsequently
office. When opening Excel or Word, I am receiving the
message:

Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew

When asking for help, I am told the project is protected
and to unprotect it.

Any idea what this means or how to do it?
