% complete not getting updated in project professional

We are usin Priject Server 2003.
We have % complete as the default method for reporting progress on tasks.
Resource updates the % complete in My Task and submits for Project Managers
approvals. Project Manager accepts the changes. It then automatically opens
the Project Professional. It is upoosed to update the % complete in the
project. But it is not updating the % complete in project and gives updation
is successful message.

Also if we try to use "Actual work done and work remaining" method, the
actual work and remaining duration columns are not seen in My Tasks view for
updation.

These functionalities we were using for last 4 years but suddenly it has
stopped working.

Ganesh:

Can you confirm that your users are entering percent complete in the
"Progress" field?

In Project Web Access View my tasks page, users getting following felds.
Id, Task Name, Start, Finish, %work complete, submited on, project, resource
name, project manager, comments.

Only % work complete field is editable and users are entering % work complete.

Example to give details

Task with 2 days duration i.e. 16 hours work.

User enters % complete 50% in my tasks and submits for approval to project
manager.

In "View task changes submitted by resources" page, project manager gets
that task but in the details it shows data as below

Task name - Task 1
work - 16h
Remaining work 16h (which is in red color)
% work complete - 50 % (which is in red color)
Actual work - 0h (which is in red color)

So my observation is that while accepting the changes, the actual work and
remaining work columns are not properly calculated.

I can send you the screen shots it required.

Do you see files accumulating in the ViewDrop folder? Do you see any errors
in Application Event log on the server?
