Completely remove Microsoft Office 2000 from Windows XP

Help! I uninstalled Microsoft Office 2000 Professional using the
add/remove programs option and and I know components are still in my
computer. I cannot completely remove all elements from Microsoft
Office 2000 Professional from my computer, that the operating system is
XP.

All eraser tools, Microsoft articles, etc. do not help as they do not
work with my operating system.

I've tried to individually delete all files but it won't let me,
stating that either access is denied or it's being used by another
program.

Hi,
Have you tried to use the following command?:

[path]\SETUPPRO.EXE /x [path]\msiFileName.msi

You can run it from Start > Run... and you have to include the full
path of the SETUPPRO.EXE and .msi file, i.e.:

C:\OfficeSourceFiles\SETUPPRO.EXE /x C:\OfficeSourceFiles\PRO11.msi

Also (I know it may sound stupid) have press F5 after unstinstalling
Office from the Add/Remove Programs window.

Anyway, if command /x option is succesful it's quite dificult to
perform a clean uninstall evenmore when you have opened Office with
several or a single user.

I hope this helps.
