Completely Removing Office 2007 Beta

Months ago I installed the Office 2007 BETA, used it sparingly and then
removed it. I continue to use the earlier version of Office, but find that
everytime I go on to MS website and down load a template it insists on
bringing down a 2007 version of the template. So, my question is quite
simple, how do I remove all remnants of Office 2007?

Someone had previously told me that I need to go through a fairly labor
intensive process of individually finding and deleting files, but it is hard
for me to believe that MS doesn't have some utility out there to clean this
up. But, if I need to do it by hand then I guess I need to do it by hand.

Regards,
Howard

I'm sorry - I did not mean to offend you by asking a question that may have
been asked before - I was under the mistaken impression that this was a forum
to help people gain knowledge, not to take swipes at them because the person
asking the question has not been successful in finding the answer previously.
Since I don't know what Mcirosoft KB is it makes it even more difficult to
find the answer.

Do a favor for those of us that have not been bestowed the MVP award and
don't insult us when we ask a question, just don't answer it if it is beneath
your diginity to do so.

For the rest of you out there, if anyone can and is interested in helping me
solve this problem I would welcome the help. This doesn't mean that I am
asking you to come to my house and do the work. I have tried to search this
forum and just don't find the answer.

I'm sorry I did not mean to offend you by asking a question that may have
been asked before - I actually thought this was a forum for people without
answers to ask questions of people that may actually have the answers.

I realize that you must be much more intelligent that I am because you have
this information and my attempts to uncover it prior to making my posting
were unsuccessul. Maybe there is another forum that I should be using, one
that allows me to ask questions to problems I am having with Microsoft
products and I will recieve answers that are actually helpful and not
insulting. Now I know that you are an MVP, something I am certain you are
rightfully proud of, but I don't know what a Microsoft KB is and when I do a
search in this discussion group for that term I have hundreds of results that
don't address my question.

So, I would like to ask again if anyone is truly interested in helping me
resolve this problem please let me know. If there is an article about this,
do me a favor and if it is not too big a problem, just send me the link. I am
not asking you to come over have coffee and repair my computer, but rather
give me a little help. The except here of course is Ms. Staples as it
appears you are much to busy and important to waste your time with someone
like.

Thanks in advance

Not condescending, just *trying* to teach a person to fish.

http://support.microsoft.com is the first place to look for answers. Using the search words "remove Office 2007 beta" produced these results. You might want to put away that attitude and try using the Microsoft Knowledge Base Library.
