Composing A New Email

Hi,

When you compose a message to a certain email and then send it, next time
you just put the first letter of that email it comes automatically.

I have two questions here:

(1) If i'm formatting my computer, is there any way to preserve that list of
saved emails so that I can re-import them again after I install Microsfot
Office?

(2) Can that list be modified? (e.g. if i need to delete one of the emails
in that list)

Thanks and regards,
Adel.

1) the autocomplete is contained in 'userprofilename'.nk2 file
Copy that file, Once Outlook is setup and functioning rename the nk2 file in
this setup to 'old' copy your saved file to the location ensuring
'userprofilename' is if neccessary amended
Also if formatting you dont Import your old data file, niether do you export
it , in origonal.
The method of saving and reconnecting data is posted allmost daily

2) Hilight offending address with arrow keys, press delete Btn

Thanks for your swift reply.

1) i searched for *.nk2 files i found nothing, could you kindly advise where
is it usually saved?

2) what i meant by editing that list is that if i used to send to particular
email always and then this guy changes his email so it's autosaved when i
send once to him, then everytime i press 'geo' for [email protected] for
instance both emails show in the autocomplete, how can i permenantly delete
the old one?

3) what do you mean by cross post? how can i do that?

thanks again.

Make sure you set the search to search for hidden files.

Not sure if you can but the list nukes addresses after 2000.

To restore your .PST file to the newly installed Outlook, open it with
File/Open/Personal Data File. Be sure and copy the .PST file before you
do the reinstall. It is also hidden.

I don't see where DL said anything about cross posting but it means to
post a message to two or more newsgroups at the same time.
