compressed images in word

I

info

It looks like an image placed as bitmap or Tiff in a Word (2004)
document automaticly will be compressed. (Wich gives printed a more
poor image). Is there a function to undo this function?

According to a Microsoft Word 2002 handbook the program should have a
function to affect this compression. It should also be possible to undo
this function which results in uncompressed images. This function would
be in the toolbar 'Figure'. The icon is a picture with an arrow on each
corner.

Hello-

Need a little clarification. Word 2004 is for Macintosh OS X, Word 2002 is
for Windows. The two programs are not identical, by any means. If your
question does pertain to the Mac version you would do better to post it at

http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.mac.office.word?lnk=li

I would normally give you a more direct response, but am not able to get to
my Mac and can't remember specifics. However, if you go to Word>Preferences
there may be a setting on the View, Save or General page.

Also, there is no 'Figure' toolbar (unless it appears in a different
language version that I'm not familiar with)... Perhaps you mean the Picture
Toolbar?
