Comunication Problems by Save a *.ppt File out of PowerPoint

I have the Problem does if I am save a ppt-file out of Powerpoint in to a
mapped network drive, I will got a lost of the communication to this mapped
drive. And the file is corrupted as well.
I have a HP nc8000 Laptop (Windows 2000 SP4) with a Portrepilcator connected
to a Windows 2000 Domain and a File Server.
We have exchanged the laptop 3 times but the error is still existing. We
have deleted the Profile of the User. If he do this at a Desktop it works but
not on a Laptop.

The problem is that we have locked the access to the local drives because
security direktives. And ón all other 400 Computers in the network we have no
problems only with one user. But we have deleted his profile and everything
else.
