Concatenate formating problem

I am trying to concatenate two columns with text in an excel spreadsheet and
the formula works, however my text from the first column is left justified
and the second column is right justfied with a big space in between.

I have tried formatting the cell, but that doesn't work.

My formula is =CONCATENATE(C1,D1).

Any ideas?

try

=C1&D1

If that produces a space then you have spaces in the other cells.
