Concatenating Dates

How do I concatendate dates from several cells into one cell, while
maintaining the date format? When I have tried, it converts the dates to
serial numbers instead of the actual date. Is there a better way to combine
these cells - possibly using VB If statements??? Any ideas either way is
appreciated.
