Concatenation of the Memo Data Type Field

The concatentation of a Memo data type fields finds an error in reports with
the "&" function. However, when a Text data type is combined, no errors will
occur.

I need combine two memo fields for reporting, any recommendations for a
solution?

What error is being reported? & should work fine for concatenating Memo
fields.

Doug,

Thanks for your attention.

The error states "invalid control property: control source." It flags the
control source, =[ActivityStatus] & [ActivityStatusBuyer], that are the memo
data type fields. This fields contain data that is over 255 characters in
length. When, the data is test among over fields that are not memo in data
type, the concatenation performs properly.

As a test, I just constructed a form with a text box that has =[MemoField1]
& " " & [MemoField2] as its control source, and it worked fine. There must
be something else going on here.

What type of control are you using? What's the name of the control?
