Conditional format doesn't?

I have a continuous form with a number of fields, including one called
"status" and another called "side". Every field on the form has a
conditional with three conditions:

no condition : field background color is green
side = "Sale" : field background color is red
status = "Deleted" : field background is purple

This works well for about 1/2 of the fields, which respond as normal.
For the other half, it's always green. I've done everything I can
think of, re-applying the conditions, changing the syntax, using the
format painter... nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think the "No Contition" may be over rideing the Condidtional Formating

I think you will have already done this but ---

Open the form in design view
click the control
click Format
click Conditional Format
"Do not" put a No Contition - delete it if you have one

Field Value is
Equal to
"Sale"

Close conditional format

Right click the control
Open properties box
In the format colum - set the Green colour you want
This is how to set the "No Condition"
