Conditional formats won't print

I am using Excel 2003 (11.6355.6360) SP1

I have a spreadsheet with cells conditionally formatted to turn green or
red. Everything looks fine on the screen...but when I print, I don't see any
of the colors..... The cells show up without any color formatting (ie they
look just like any other non-conditionally formatted cell).

Not sure what has changed b/c I've printed conditionally formatted
spreadsheets in color in the past.

Anyone have any ideas?

And just in case this matters.....I notice that the colors don't show up in
the the Print Preview view either.

Thanks in advance to all the gurus out there.

Is your default printer set up to print in B&W?

My default printer has been a B&W printer since I've been working here. We
have a color printer that I print to when needed. That never seemed to cause
any problem in the past.

But I just went in and changed my default printer to be the color printer
and my print preview still shows up w/o any color formats.

I went under the Printer Properties for the color printer and under Features
it says Color: Yes. As well, under Color Management, both options
(Automatic and Manual) and grayed out...but the Automatic one is selected.

FYI, I'm able to print other office files (word and powerpoint) to the
color printer in color.

Take a look at the printer properties. I believe I was able to change the
properties of a color printer to force it to print in B&W.
