conditional formatting Text

i am stuck again, thanks to any one who can help me

i am trying to create a course timetable i want Session field to change
colour when either Lunch or coffee are displayed

i have tried conditional formatting and used

Field value is: equal to "Coffee"

this has worked when i use dates or numbers but i do not know how to use
text in conditional formatting

thanks for any help or giuddance

Hi Phil,

Try entering Coffee without the quotes in the conditional formatting dialog.

thanks for your reply, when i came in this morning i realised i was using a
lookup field and it was after a number not text

Thanks for that Tom

could have done with those beofre i started this project. i have added
removing lookups to my list of things to sort out before this database is
finished.
