Conditional Formatting

Hi, Can anyone help.

What is the formula to have cell turn black (conditional
formating) if there are two matches. Example: IF A OR B
is it =(A1="A"OR"B") (I get an error when entering this
into conditional formating. Kind Regards & Thanks
