Conditional Formatting

I have set up conditional formatting for one column of
cells, where the cell is highlighted if it is more than a
certain value. I would like it to highlight the whole
row instead of just that cell, but have not been able to
figure out how to do that.

Assuming the data is in Column A, rows 10 through 20

Highlight rows 10 through 20

Select Format/Conditional Format from the menu

Choose the "Formula Is" option

enter =$A10>"your value"

Click on Format and set your format

Another way: format one cell, then copy that cell, then
select the other cells, then paste special/formats.

Paul,
Thanks for the instructions. They worked fine. My
problem was in the address specification in the formula.

That $ sign is critical
