Conditional formatting

Hello,

I would like the text in my "Due Date" field to turn red
once the due date has passed. I believe Conditional
Formatting is the way to go...but can't get it right. Can
anyone break it down for me...(using baby steps)? Please

If you are using Access 2000 or later:

In Form Design View, click on the [DueDate] Field.
Then, on the Menu, click on
Format + Conditional Formatting
Set the Condition1 drop-down to
Field Value Is
Set the value in the next drop-down to
Less Than
Set the next dialog box to
Date()

Set the colors to whatever you want

I'm sorry, this method isn't working. Now, a due date of
4/29/2004 is "RED" ...and the due date hasn't arrived.
Can you please look at this again, here's what I'm trying
for:

1)"Date Due" text turns red-once the due date has passed;
2)"Date Due" text turns dark green 5 days prior to and
including due date.
3)"Date Due" text is regular green by default.

I'd appreciate anything you could do...and thank you!!
