Conditional Formula

i am trying to highlight the entire row say if column H has a value greater than 1200. but column H has a formula and gets the input from another sheet.

Use CF/ Formula Is/ =$H2>1200 (assuming that it's row 2 that is selected).
Note that you've got absolute addressing for the column, and relative for
the row.
