Conditional Formula

I have created a spreadsheet were you can type a quantity next to a par
description and price. Is there a formula that will automatically colo
fill the cell containing the description of the part if the value of th
quantity column is greater than 0?

What you're looking for is Conditional Formatting. if you select th
cell with the description in it and select Format\Conditiona
Formatting... and then select "Formula Is" from the drop down box i
the upper left of the dialog box and type in this formula (assumin
your description is in B1 and the Quantity is is A1) =A1<>0

then select the formatting you want and when A1 is NOT zero your cell
will be formatted the way you want
