Conditional List fields

Hi everybody

I am very new to access and require the assisatance of more advance users to
guide me.

I am trying to create a databse for use with logging issues raised on a
helpdesk. On the table which stores the issue log data (called Helpdesk Call
Log). I want to use 3 call categorization fields in this table called Cat1,
Cat2, Cat3. Each of these fileds would use a combo list box for the data
selection. I want limit the vales avalable in Cat2 dependant upon the value
selected for Cat1. this would also be repeated for Cat 3 depending on what is
selected in Cat2.

I have 2 questions for you:-

1. Could you advised the best way of creating the table or tables for used
to for the source for the Cat1, CAt2 and Cat3 fields?

2. Once the table is created how would i define the criteria in the combo
list boxes to acheive the limited selections available in the Cat2 and Cat3
fields

Build queries for 2 and three to use. Criteria for 2's
query is 1's selection. Do the same for 3 using 2's
selection for criteria.

I thought that a query would be required however wasnt too sure of the
expression needed to acheive the result. Could you provide any guidance??
