conditional sum wizard

In Office 97 - using the conditional sum wizard on a list
of 78 items with 5 possible conditions (1, 2, 3, 4, 4 or
more). The wizard returns incorrect sums for several of
the conditions, e.g. there are five 3's in the list and
the wizard says there are 15. Any ideas?

The Conditional Sum wizard returns fifteen because it returns the solution
to the addition of the 3's, not the count of them. It is actually returning
the correct solution because you specified "3" as a condition, it selects
the five three's from the list, and adds them all together to get 15.
