Conditional Text in Microsoft Word

Hi,

I have done a little bit of googling without much success.

We are preparing some customer documentation and need to use
conditional text (as available in Framemaker). i.e. depending on the
value of a variable/setting, the document would print out differently
(i.e. hiding confidential information from the customer).

As far as I can tell, the functionality is not included as standard in
word. Is this correct?

Can anyone any pointers on how we would implement via Macros or
suggest any tried and tested plugins (free or cheap).

Thanks for any feedback,

Steven

Word has an IF field that can be used for conditional text. You can use
bookmarks to test text. You can also integrate this into mailmerge or other
data-driven documents. So, I'm guessing that you can do what you want in
Word.
