configuration errors in Entourage

Greetings.

I apparently configured Entourage OSX incorrectly. Couldn't get it to
send e-mail, so I down loaded Office 2004 Test Drive version, which
includes Entourage, just to send an important e-mail to my son that
needs to be sent tonight to him out of state.

I need help in configuring it properly. The error message said. "
mail could not be sent. The server is down, overloaded, or there may
be too much traffic. too much traffic, or An operation on the server
timed out. e-mail. Before downloading 2004, using Office OSX, I got
an error message with the ERROR number 23016.

Has anyone else ran into this problem. need help bad!

I'm a bit confused. Do you own Office X? Are you planning on purchasing
Office 2004? Entourage 2004 data cannot be imported to Entourage X.
