configuration process runs every time start Word 2007

Running Office Home and Student 2007 on Windows Vista,. for the past several
weeks, each time I open Word 2007 (whether opening from the program or from
an existing Word file), the "Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
Configuration Process" begins as though just installing for the first time.
The window pops up, green status bar runs for a few minutes, then a popup box
appears "system must be re-booted" appears. If I try to cancel the process,
it hangs for a while, then notifies me again that a system reboot is
necessary - if I accept it and reboot, then start Word again, the same steps
occur again without change. If I cancel out all the windows that pop up,
after about 5 minutes, Word is again usable.

I have not installed any new programs (kids may have) nor made any other
system changes. I've run Office Diagnostics, and the only answer I can find
is that a OneNote driver and a Document Image Writer driver are missing - but
on a further search, all that is revealed is that those drivers are not
designed to be installed on a 64-bit operating system. Sorry, I'm not tech
enough to even know how to tell if that's true, much less how to resolve it
or even if I should resolve it. I've also run the repair diagnostic on the
Office CD, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Office suite. No
luck - same errors.

Install on hard disk not Run from disc. Obviously you have this issue when you chose
the Run from Disc install
