Configuring Active Directory with Project Server 2002

One of our major projects was just completed -
implementing an Active Directory. Now that it is up and
running, I wanted to try and connect our development
instance of Project Server to the Active Directory to see
what benefits it would give the organization.

This topic wasn't covered during the initial intallation
and configuration of Project Server here at the company.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey Kevin,

Going off the title, this being a Project Server 2002 question. With this
product the two technologies don't really integrate together. I mean you
may populate your Enterprise Resource Pool from active directory, but there
is no way to configure Active Directory with Project Server 2002.

This type of configuration does play a role until the release of Project Server
2003. Now this product your can synchronize with Active Directory, and
that will populate everything automatically.

But as for Project Server 2002, you must first check-out your Enterprise
Resource Pool, and you can do an Insert to pull your users from Active
Directory or your GAL. Than that will get all the necessary users within the
Resource Pool and Windows accounts in Project Web Access.

I hope that clears it up for you. If not please let me know.
