Configuring Outlook with IMAP

Does anyone know how to make IMAP sent messages end up in
the IMAP Sent folder rather than the POP sent folder?

at present Outlook only saves to the local PST Sent Items folder. you can
copy them to the IMAP server if you like but it's tedious.

I tried to build a rule with the rules wizzard, but it is
too limited to actually do what I want it to do.

I was trying to move new arrivals in the POP sent items
folder to the Imap sent folder, but the rules wizzard does
not have enough smarts to allow this rule to be generated.

Every so often, I just select all of them in "sent" and drag/drop them
to move into the IMAP folder.

the ability to save sent item on the IMAP server has been a request from
some for a while but it might lead to a perfomance degredation since items
would need to be pushed up to the server. You could sort Sent Items by
account and manually move them up now and then.
